LOOSE WOMEN STORY
I had just come out of hospital after spending 6 days in there recovering from an operation. BUT before I went in I received a voicemail message on the Saturday before I went into hospital from ITVs 'Loose Women' show informing me that I had been selected as one of 25 out of over a 3000 women as one of the semi finalist in their search for a new loose woman for 2009!
I didn't even hear the whole message at first, all I heard was 'this is Karl from loose women' and I started screaming and ran into my sons room scaring him half to death (he was asleep oops). I apologised to him then tried to calm down enough to tell him about the message. It was only when he asked me what was said that I realised that I hadn't even listened to the message in full LMAO. SOOO I redialled my voicemail to listen to the message in full. It was from Karl and I was to call back. which I did and that is when I was told I was a semi finalist.
I was so excited I started calling around telling everyone you got to vote for me so I could go into the final to win this shit man I WANNA BE A LOOSE WOMAN! I went into hospital on the Tuesday after the initial call, in the mean time I had spoken to my point of contact lady on the show about how exciting it was and she told me about what happens next. There are 5 weeks of voting. Each week 5 of the the 25 women's video would be shown to the public and it would be voted on to find a winner for that week. I was to be in week 3. At the end of the 5 weeks all 5 finalists would be up for the final vote. I thought cool this sounds like fun. We had all already been chosen by the judges on the show which was great enough but now it would be time to be voted by the public; scary but exciting.
By the Wednesday I had recovered enough from my op to check my BB for my messages. I had a number of emails from Loose Women with forms and stuff I had to fill out before I could go on the show, not a problem until I read the contract! Section C: I hereby further warrant and agree...I am not currently hosting or presenting anything on TV or radio or have not in the past hosted or presented anything on TV or radio. Arghhhhhhh IT WOULD SEEMS I DIDN'T SEE THIS BIT WHEN I APPLIED FOR THE SHOW!!! So I rang the show and told them that I had and do present a show, it was like oh dear I will have to get back to you on that one. To cut a rather long and sad story short their solicitors said I could go no further because of the stipulation in the contract. Lesson here people ALWAYS READ ALL OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS no matter how long winded they may seem.
